How Many People Does It Take to Close A Real Estate Transaction?
Our second real estate professional of the month is Sean Culhane with Security Title Underwriters. I asked him some questions about his part of the real estate transaction process and here is what he had to say.
Q: How many people do you think it takes to do a real estate transaction?
A: Buyer, seller, 2 real estate agents, lender, property inspector, termite guy, title agency folks, abstractor, movers, prior lender as to payoffs, movers, underwriter for lender and title company, etc. In other words, a lot of folks.
Q: What is your role during a real estate transaction?
A: Being available to answer any questions that may arise. Honestly, in a perfect world my job should be completed before the transaction hits the table.
Q: What are some things people would not think of or know that you do for this process?
A: How complicated a process it actually is and how many parts have to go just right for it to be a successful closing.
Q: Who do you think is the most overlooked person during the real estate transaction process?
A: The person at the title company who is in charge of making sure everything flows smoothly.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Helping our agents.
