How Many People Does It Take to Close A Real Estate Transaction?
For our first real estate professional of the month, we have Daniel Taylor. A loan officer from PNC Bank here in Oneonta, AL. I asked him a few questions about the real estate transaction process and here is what he had to say.
How many people do you think it takes to do a real estate transaction? There are so many ways a real estate transaction can go. All the people involved can touch it or the fewest people involved can touch it. I would say there are about 10-15 people who are involved when all is said and done.
What is your role during a real estate transaction? I take the loan application, and I close the loan. I also help the customer upload financials.
What are some things people would not think of that you do or know for the real estate transaction process? I am on the lending side of the process, but I know how long the whole process takes. Some people may not think I know because I only deal with the loan aspect, but I know how long it all takes.
Who do you think is the most overlooked person during the real estate transaction process? I would say portably the customer. We are a part of the process all day everyday so we the time and steps that goes into it, they don’t. They may not know how long these things can last sometimes.
What do you like most about your job? I would say interacting with the customers. The job is what it is, but the customers make it interesting.
Thank you for reading our blog this month. Stay tuned for our next real estate professional.
